Entrepreneur must read! The Golden Rule for small business is to treat others as they were the most important people on the planet. It has good information and is fine to buy used because its last update was in the 80’s.
If you are in the business world this is the book that really started the self-help and motivation craze we have today. It is one of those books that is old-school and if you’re in public speaking or training you had better have this in your knowledge bank because this is mandatory reading for many old-school sales offices. This writing style is a bit dusty because it has never been updated into toady’s crazy format of sound-bite reading.
The four main topics in this book are:
a) How to handle people
b) How to make people like you
c) How to win people to your way of thinking
d) How to change people without upsetting them

The most important book for success, and the one that all other "success" books skirt around is How To Win Friends & Influence People by Dale Carnegie first published in 1936. Yes, it is old but the fundamentals that it teaches us about human nature is as true today as it was 73 years ago. Anyone in sales or management needs to keep this book handy, and everyone else should read it at least once.
ALL of the latest "success" books currently on sale at your local book store are likely based on one or more of the lessons demonstrated in this book. Mr. Carnegie had all the bases covered and no new material has surfaced that has not already been taught and explained within this book.
The title seems to suggest a personal building friends sort of thing but this is truly the best business book you can buy for networking people, presenting an idea, motivating people and, well, yes - making friends, building better communications with your spouse, teaching your children a better way to communicate.
This book does not solve all your problems, it gives you the tools to resolve all your problems.
BOTTOM LINE:
Get this book and give some copies out to your boss, your protege and your teenage child.

How to win friends and influence people Dale Carnegie

You must purchase this book! I have recently purchased several of Dale Carnegie's books and am amazed with the enormous amount of timeless wisdom he had! We all have the same skills that he writes about; but most of us allow our lives and circumstances to get in the way of applying them in our own lives! And he basically states that as well. His teachings should be taught in school to every young adult! It would indeed save the time lost in years for acquiring these wisdoms. I would even go as far to say that it would even save you personally from making foolish decisions with your own life and of course save you money! And the funny thing is that I'm only half way through the book! I originally purchased these books because I'm looking to go into sales; but it wasn't till after I started reading his book on "How To Stop Worrying and Start Living" that I realized that I have not "lived" as I should have! I've worryied my whole adult life about something! And his teachings in "How to win friends and influence people" is just as valuable! If you want to start off with any of his books I "HIGHLY" recommend these two for you to understand the kind of awesome man Dale Carnegie really was! Then I recommend you to pass those books to your friends and loved ones! I believe that Dale would want everyone "today" to benefit from his timeless teachings; and believe me you will!

This book is based on good old school techniques that can help anyone that wants to improve there relationships with people.
