The Wiz (DVD, 2008, 30th Anniversary Edition; With Bonus CD)

The movie is a upscale of the Wizard of Oz. The character of Dorothy(Diana Ross), the scarecrow(Michael Jackson) one his onlymovice roles. I think he was and superb in the role. It was very believable. The all out cast were very comical. The soundtrack is great. I think everyone young or old show buy it for your library, and it's a masterpiece to any Michael Jackson collector.

I have wanted this video since the time that I knew they were making it in New York City 25 years ago. It has some of the most influential people of the 70's MoTown musical era, and is a cult classic that stands the test of time! The music is original, the scenes are colorful, and the actors are animated...especially Michael Jackson! And, as always, his singing was right on the mark. Dianna makes a beautiful, if not a bit aged, Dorthy.

This is an excellent video for someone who wants to share it with the next generation, or just for those who want to take a long forgotten walk down Memory Lane. So, buy this DVD, pop a bowl of popcorn, pop it into the DVD player, and gather the family around the TV set for an old fashioned movie night! And then keep it safe so that your children can pass it down to their children, and so on.

Let's keep the memories of MoTown and Michael Jackson alive. This is one of the only full-length movies that Michael ever appeared in, and he does a fabulous job of it. It is a MUST HAVE for all Michael Jackson fans, and collectors alike!

This is a DVD musical that will remind you about what awesome actors Michael Jackson and Dianna Ross both are. They are the reason the musical was such a hit. The musical story line of "The Wizard of Oz" set in New York City brings the characters to life and makes you think about the characters in your life who are like these people. The musical talents of the actors are also unsurpassed. The bonus CD was great because of their singing!

i love it because i think it's a rare dvd. not easy to found it in the normal stores and anyway i never saw this movie version when it came out. the wizard of oz is one of my favorite movies and i want to have this version. believe it or not i have not watch this movie since i receive it in the mail. i only have one problem with a merchandise that i received from e-bay, so i hope everything is good with this movie because the only problem that i have it was pleasantly resolve in my favor.

the thing that i disike is that i have't have the time to enjoy the movie.
