Great game, but didn't meet my expectations.

This game didn't meet my expectations at all. I am running Windows 7 and Windows Vista on my computer. After installing this game on both operating systems with 'Typical Install' not 'Custom Install', there are no icons on the desktop and there are no links to the game within the start menu. This is easily fixable so I didn't take off for it, but I am just noting for future buyers. I also was unable to launch multilayer from either operating systems because of an error when the game was 'Searching for Tools...' There was no error description, just the typical window that appears stating that it 'Windows is searching for a solution for the problem', which the program then proceeded to close. Single player gameplay is fun, but I have 4 gigs of RAM in my computer, as well as a dual-core processor and nVidia GeoForce6800 graphics card and I experienced very laggy, and unexceptional performance. After turning my graphics settings to 'Medium' the gameplay improved but is still laggy at times. Overall, I was very disappointed with this game. After looking forward to the multiplayer capabilities with my XBox and PC, and excellent graphics, this game didn't meet my expectations. After playing Wolfenstein Enemy Territory and Return to Castle Wolfenstein, I think that this one is the worst of them all...

in true I am partial to this game as it is from the line of fps did you know wolfenstein 3-D was the first FPS? and I used to play when I first got it I was shocked and surprised at all the rich details and secrets and whenI played this time I was equally satisfied great graphics attention to detail sudden twists in the plot and broad spectrum of game play with tons of new weapons, secrets , eneimes and a few boss fights! or MAJOR battles lots of gang up situations with the tesla gun you can mow em down real smooth but you dont get it for a while so be paitent on that note without any more spoilers I give this game 4.2 out of 5 just one thing youd better have a beefy video card to run this on high settings serious geforce 9800 or ati 4870 recomended it says 6200 but my freinds 8800 had low frame rates while my 4850 x2 played this beast no problem enjoy and as always happy killing

I purchased this title before the holidays to play during my vacation, I was completely blown away by the graphics, and story, you assume the role of a top secret agent, B.J Bloskwictz he was sent to Germany to investigate the city of Isenstadt because the Nazis are making weapons and conducting experiments with the Black Sun energy.Early in the game you find a medallion which enables you to slow time become invincible and move faster to oppose the Nazis forces

Wolfenstein

I have been waiting for the sequel to " Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Project resurrection " for many years now. It is worth it. Some things are different, but it still has the atmosphere I loved. The graphics are awesome, the attention to details is excellent. I like the destructible environments, and the intelligence of the characters. I am still working my way through. I have finished about 65% of the game so far, there is a boss I cant kill. Stuck. The one thing I do not like is that you cant save the game at the point you choose, as far as I can tell. If you die, you have to start at the point the game auto saved. The city is a pain, having to load Eastside, Westside,..etc. I only have the single player version. Its a lot of fun.

Good Moments, Average Game

This game is "open world", but its more of just a hub. You have a linear type city you have to navigate between missions to get to contacts. There will always be Nazis, so you'll be killing a lot even in between missions. The game runs on the Doom III engine and is showing its age, but at the same time it is very detailed. There are some great set pieces, and some memorable missions, but overall its just another average shooter. To be honest I did like it more then I expected. I recommend a price from 20-30$ because there's a decent bit of meat here, but nothing too different. The Veil powers are a mixture of Bullet Time, and other power ups.
