this dvd is awesome. i've done the workout quite a few times and i haven't gotten bored of it yet, as i have with some other exercise dvd's. the workout is easy to follow. you don't need a very large space or any equipment other than 3 lb weights. this workout is challenging but not too challenging. i would recommend this dvd to anyone who wants to break a serious sweat. for all fitness levels.

A good workout DVD from Amy

Like others I don't think it burns 500 calories but it is a good DVD to have in your mix. I like Amy's attitude and she is fun. The cuing is very good so you know what to expect and it is not that fast a move that one can't follow. Yes, the other girls do squeak a lot but after the second time it does not bother you.
Over all a good cardio and strength. Worth buying.

Women's Health-The 500 Calorie Workout

I like this DVD overall. This copy was actually purchased as a gift for someone else, because I enjoyed the workout so much. I find Amy Dixon to be a very down-to-earth trainer--almost like working out with a friend. She is encouraging throughout the workout and does a great job of explaining the moves. That being said, I am not sure that I truly burn 500 calories when I do this workout. However, her moves are easy to follow (none of the "dance" like moves and complicated choreography of other workout videos that leave you standing still most of the time trying to figure out how the people onscreen are doing a particular move). This is the kind of video that I like to put in when I am in a hurry and almost ready to say, "Guess I don't have time for a workout today" because I know that Amy's positive attitude and the short length of the session will convince me to get off the couch!

Great interval workout. Motivating instructor.

I bought the DVD because I have other Amy Dixon DVDs and love her workouts. This DVD is great because it works in intervals which gives you a chance to get a drink of water and catch your breath. Amy Dixon is very motivating and does somewhat simple but heart pumping moves which make the routine fun. I use heavier weights than recommended to make it more challenging. It also has a cooldown section which gives you a chance to stretch out. The only negative I found with the DVD is the other girls oohing and laughing in the background but Amy keeps the workout moving.

Fun, short work out DVD

This DVD is fun and it is quick, only being about 35 minutes. The movements are simple and easy to follow. My mom likes to get up and do this one with me even, when usually the workout dvd's are to complicated for her. I like that you only need one set of light weights to do it as well. It says you can burn up to 500 calories, but I have done it with my heart monitor and it is actually closer to 275 or 300 calories. All in all I enjoy this work out.
