"This book is outrageous, well written and regional, fitting somewhere between HOLLYWOOD BABYLON and LESS THAN ZERO."

Excellent read

Created: 07/05/06
This is an absolutely amazing story. Danny Sugerman was first in the spotlight by being a young boy lucky enough to bug members of the band The Doors into letting him hang out at their office. He even managed to get on their payroll by answering fan mail. Soon after Jim Morrison's death Danny's life became filled with drugs and excess. He explains all the details of being a junky without leaving a word out. This book explains a lot about addiction, L.A. in the late 70's-80's, and people seeing you on top of the world as you're really at the very bottom. I recommend this book to EVERYONE. People who have had drug addictions, fans of the Doors or anyone looking for a great read with an author who has lived a very full life of partying.
