It's an 4 out of 5
Created: 18/06/08
I've been playing the expansion pack pretty much since it came out, I never was part of the old world WoW so my entire experience has been post-BC. I have LOVED this game, definitely something that if you have the time and desire to do... do it! I have really only one critique on the game itself.
(btw, I agree with the post from the first individual; anyone who has an addictive personality, shouldn't be playing the game. Self-control and moderation, like anything else, is key to playing WoW.)
The PvE (Player vs. Environment) aspect of the game has been seriously harmed by the addition of the arena PvP (Player vs. Player). Don't get me wrong, I had 3 level 70s, one PvP focused and two PvE focused. The arenas are fantastic fun and adrenaline pumping action but the PvE has been thrown out the window because all people have done is gotten very good PvP gear thinking they're top notch and made for very poor raid groups.
This also applies then to the 5 man instances in Outland (areas new to the expansion pack). People barely run those instances because it's easier to get the PvP gear rather than run the instances.
All-in-all: a fantastic game that I loved every minute I played, but know that the PvE aspect of the game has been harmed due to the increasing focus that the gamemakers have on PvP.

WoW's Burning Crusade!
Created: 04/12/08
While not exactly what every World of Warcraft fan was waiting for, it was an awesome experience grabbing the flying mounts for the first time. As for the grind from 60-70... not so great. In the mundane WoW questing style a lot of the quests you do are just longer more repetitive washed up version of past quests. Kill X amount of mobs and pick up Y amount of items. It was also a shame to see all of your old epics turn to greens, and old rep go to no use. The new PVP system was amazing, the ability to save up honor without worries of losing any, was just awesome! All in all BC was a mediocre expansion with lots of new flashy zones to keep you happy till you reached your level cap. The good stuff wasn't to come until almost an entire year later, with the introduction of new raids and gear. BC is still a requirement for the next expansion Wrath of the Lich King, so go ahead and grab it!

Burning Crusades
Created: 19/03/07
Blizzard once again blew away the MMO Gaming community with the expansion to the ever-popular "World of Warcraft."
Burning Crusades is a follow-up to the original classic by Blizzard that redefined online RPGs. With the inclusion of two new races, countless new items, and an entire new area, Burning Crusades continues the legacy that was set forth in the first edition of the game.
In true fashion, Blizzard released two versions of the "Burning Crusades" expansion; the standard add-on, and the special "Collector's Edition." The Collector's Edition integrates all the new features of the expansion, plus a number of extras including a Burning Crusades soundtrack, "The Making of Burning Crusades" DVD, and a brand-new pet exclusive to the C.E., the Netherwhelp.
The graphics are just as amazing as the original, gameplay is becoming smooth as ever with continued technical support and bug fixes, and Blizzard has once again proved that even a breakthough title like "World of Warcraft" can be upstaged.

GREAT!!! A Good Addition to an Already Epic Game!

If you are an avid world of warcraft fan then this collectors edition will suit you well. Otherwise, for all other fans this is something that will cost you more than its worth. Although at a price tag of now around $29.99 it might just be well worth it for any fan. The edition raises the level cap from 60 to 70 and adds two new playable races: The Drainei and Bloodelves. Not to mention new items, monsters, zones, and more! The purchase also comes with the game, "Art of the Burning Crusade" book, exclusive in-game pet and behind-the-scenes DVD. Also includes World of Warcraft Trading Card Game starter deck and exclusive cards, mouse pad with map of Outland & official soundtrack CD only in the Collector's Edition. A Great game for an existing world of warcraft fan who wants to expand the wow universe!

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Collector's Edition
Created: 24/12/10
i love these world of warcraft collector's editions. i own all but the first one and i love the way they all look together on the shelf. like all the collector's editions before it this one is loaded with extras to sink your teeth into. the art book features work directly from the cataclysm expansion, the soundtrack is one of the best i have heard from a warcraft game and the lil deathwing pet is always a nice little cosmetic to add to your avatar. all in all if you are a fan of the series you need to get your hands on this pronto and start rolling a goblin A.S.A.P. FOR THE HORDE!
