This early entry in the WOW Worship series features a more homogenous collection of artists than later collections displayed. The track listing centers on a particularly '90s kind of world music, combining soft rock stylings in such ballads as "Change My Heart, Oh God" with overtones of African chants that echo faintly in songs such as "Ancient of Days" and "Let the River Flow."What, of course, is most apparent in this double CD set is the devotional fervor with which this classy material is presented. From the uplifting warmth of "Let It Rise" to the full-throated ardor of "I Will Celebrate," TODAY'S 30 MOST POWERFUL WORSHIP SONGS doesn't let up its evangelical message for a minute. Though it would be left to later releases in the series to render a more fully authentic gospel passion, this is a quality overview of the essence of late 20th century worship music.

) When I was "visiting" my present church at different times, the worship music (featuring many of these songs),so touched and healed my heart.When a friend was playing this worship CD in her car recently, I was taken "down memory lane" to that wonderful time in my walk with our Lord. I was so blessed to be able to find it on eBay. Thank you.

I own every Wow cd from 1998 to 2006, and I listen to at least one of them every day. some group takes all the songs from the year before and picks the top 30, or 19 or however many they think fit top songs of the year, and put them on what they call the Wow CD. I have them on my Ipod and Computer now, and some of them sound so modern, like Toby Mac, that you can play them when your secular friends come over and they won't be offended, although they there are all kind of genere's of music on these CDs, from Rap to Praise Gospel you would here at a contemperary church on Sunday. this and all other Wow Cd's are Highly recommended by me, and I hope you get your Wow Worship CD today!

I bought this CD 10 years ago and gave it to a friend. One song particularly stayed in my mind(the river is here)so I decided to get it again and I do not regret it. These songs are ageless, they lift up your spirit. One of the best praise and worship collections.
WOW Hits CDs are the best powerful songs ever.

Since I started purchasing the WOW Hits and WOW Worship CD`s, Every song I have heard have inspired me and have brought me a message joy and peace. I recommend it to all those who love music and love listening to christian music. I loved every song included in this CD and that is the reason I decided to buy it.

) This CD is filled with many of the classic praise and worship songs. Although the songs are older, they have stood the test of time. This CD is for the person who enjoys more mellow songs that are not as guitar-driven as many of today's contemporary Christian praise and worship songs. Enjoy!
