Their umpteenth album in this vein doesn't disappoint, being chock-full of the kind of impeccably performed instrumental jazz that's garnered them a worldwide following. The Latin-tinged, shape-shifting time signatures of "Impressions of Madrid" demonstrate a mastery of musical subtlety, while the funky "Lil' Mono" proves that the band can still swing for the fences with the best of them.

    Mellow and dreamy

    Created: 20/03/08
LOVE Spyro Gyra, especially this CD where they again moved away from the stall of the 90's into new territory. Their next album, Good to Go Go, is a radical departure from anything SG has ever done and is exceptional. Nothing compares with seeing them in person - go if you have the chance. The new drummer, Bonnie B, has taken the band to a whole new level.

spyro gyra has been serving up the same old fluff for over twenty years now,and this cd is no different, very lukewarm, cotton candy fusak, thats both boring and mundane, they haven't released anything of merit since catching the sun, back in 1980,this is typical spyro gyra.
