A few nice pictures, but lacking substance

I guess there are just too many good watch reference books on the market because to me this book is just mostly a bunch of pictures and the same old horology history that seems to be plagiarized over and over. I do recommend anyone looking for a GOOD reference book "The Complete Watch and Price Guide" by Cooksey Shugart. Updated annually you are more likely to find useful information there than anywhere else. The prices listed in the Cooksey Shugart guide are wholesale prices so you will need to allow for that, but in general Cooksey Shugart offers more bang for the buck than any other watch reference book I know. While the prices quoted in the Cooksey Shugart book are generally conservatively low the book offers more critical information than any other watch book I know. It is also good to buy a new Cooksey Shugart book annually because there are some watches that are listed in previous years that are not listed in more current years and vice versa.
