The DVD starts right off the bat with a joke and a cheap pop. We start off with Mick's relationship with
Al Snow, including Mankind's "Al usually doesn't sell chairs" remark he made on live television, real life
hurt feelings, his Al Snow jokes that riddled through his book, Al and Mick's "Vegas Invasion" vignettes,
Mick's injuries vs. Vince's money leading to Mankind teaming with The Rock to form one of the WWE's
most loved teams, The Rock & Sock Connection, Al Snow trying to break up the friendship and Makind
adopting an almost Cactus Jack like mentality. From here we go into Mick wanting to retire, but feuding
with Al Snow in the mean time, Austin's injury, Mick being "fired" from WWF, the feud with Triple H and
the match at RAW in which Triple H went way beyond what was needed to beat Mick, resulting in the
return of Cactus Jack on SmackDown! days later. We see some more verbal confrontation between the
two, a really great interview segment with Triple H discussing his feelings on the match to come, his
comments in my opinion are worth the price of the DVD alone. Now we get into the AMAZING match
they had at the Royal Rumble and the fallout of the match. I wish I knew the name of the song playing!!
If anyone knows the song playing a little after the 25 minute mark, please let me know!!

Now, one more match. Title vs. Career, Hell in a Cell, Triple H vs. Cactus Jack. This was intended to be
Mick's last match. Well that was almost 10 years ago and he's still going, which is great!! Mick tells how
he broke his own nose, then follows it with a joke about Triple H's nose, the climb to the top of the Cell in
which Mick followed - By the way, I just wanted to point out how hiarious it is to hear Mick joke on himself
and to say the word "buttcheeks" - Anyway after the match Mick is "fired" from the WWF, then returns in
the main event at WrestleMania 16, and now (drum role please) Commissioner Foley!!! From here on out
it's just one hilarious moment after another including a series of Mick's "right here in..." cheap pops, his
anglewith Edge & Christian (Mick just gave you Soda!!), and more with Al Snow, Stephanie McMahon, Taz,
Pat Patterson and others. Commissioner Foley standing up to Triple H in what was one of my all time favorite
promos from Mick, and Mick trying to solve the mystery of who put out Austin are next up and there isn't much
left to cover on the DVD. This isn't the life story of Mick, it's rather just a recap for a specific time in his WWE
career. If you're looking for the Documentary on Mick's life, your best bet is "Mick Foley: Mad Man Unmasked."

DVD Extras:
Mankind vs. Shawn Michaels

Mankind vs. Austin

Mankind vs. The Rock

Dude Love vs. Austin

Al Snow vs. Big Boss Man

Hard Knocks & Cheap Pops review.

Created: 07/12/08
This is one of WWF (now WWE) first retrospective DVDs - kind of. It is hosted by Mick Foley and discusses some of his favorite career moments in the WWF. He takes many shots at Al Snow which will be somewhat funny to wrestling fans, but most probably won't understand why he is making fun of him. This doesn't have what most wrestling fans consider his big matches, but it is still a good DVD for what it is. Many funny moments from his stint as WWF commisoner, but not what I would call a lot of "hard knocks".

I love mick foley and this dvd made me love him more! It is full of extra features like different matches he had. It takes you behind the scenes and shows you the true side of mick foley. He also talks about his auto biography and has many jokes again Al Snow. Mick foley is definitely a legend and everyone should own this copy .
