Movie synopsis

Episodes previously unreleased on video include "Young at Heart" in which Mulder must contend with an old nemesis who seems to have come back from the dead; "Roland," in which a slow-witted janitor seems to be responsible for a series of murders in a jet lab; and many more. ) The first season of the X-Files really sets the pace and standard for the other 8 seasons to come. The mystery behind Samantha Mulder's abduction is brought to attention by Fox's obsession to find her, the Cigarette Smoking Man is introduced in the first episode, and we meet Fox's informant, Deep throat. What I really enjoyed from this season is, right from the start, there is character chemistry between Fox and Dana, Mulder and Scully. Those two FBI agents are perfect partners and are professional and true through and through.
If you are considering getting these DVD seasons, take your time and enjoy each season for what it is. Don't rush yourself in viewing them. Savor each season like a good bottle of wine because television shows like the X-Files don't come all the time.

) Season One of The X-Files, is a welcome trip back to the wonderful decade of the 1990's, and it's campy, sci-fi horror roots which undoubtedly were the springboard of many current popular TV shows. This DVD set chronicles the beginnings of the Scully/Mulder duo, and introduces the audience to key characters of later seasons, while also giving us a glimpse of no-name actors who would later become stars of their own sitcoms, dramas, etc. Check it out for yourself, you won't be disappointed!
This is a welcome light paced mystery/sci-fi

The beginning of this FBI story world with a neglected studious man in the basement and a disciplined gorgeous agent woman who is sent to partner him. I love the simple discovery of Mulder's homework habits and his familiarity with marginal fiction. It is interesting how Scully begs the question relentlessly. They are relatively young but fully developed in their professional powers. The story engages me so that I worry for their safety as they press on in dangerous circumstance. The questions voiced by the characters are scripted, designed to bring the story through its paces. It is enjoyable, fascinating! We see important characters from the beginning, even though they are not noted. I enjoy getting to know these people all over again. I am now on the 2nd Dvd of this 6 set. I am not in a hurry, am enjoying the journey.

) This very first season of the X-Files include the pilot episode that started it all. Chris Carter introduces you to two FBI agents that are both skilled and intelligent yet very different as to how they solve problems. When a series of case files are buried in a "dead case area" known as the X- Files, agent Fox Mulder is curious and begans to look into these strange cases.The plots are strange and the cases get stranger as Mulder is assigned another agent, Dana Schulley to help out. The adventure now begins in ernest.

The show had a slow start, but by disk 4, it was easy to see why X-FILES became so popular. For the era that it was filmed in the special effects are decent enough, the stories are intresting. All in all, it was a great first season.
