Xenosaga Episode 2: why I love thee
Created: 13/06/08
I'm not going to take up a lot of time, but the Xenosaga series is a must-have for RPG fans, particularly those who enjoyed Square's Xenogears.
Xenosaga is meant to be a spiritual successor to the series, and as you may have noticed it is no longer published by square, although many of the original staff members left to produce this game with namco.
It features a turn-based combat system that is fast paced (similar to Final fantasy 10). In terms of graphics and plot, I seem to be able to compare it admirably with that of star ocean: till the end of time. It is very full of science fiction and seems to take place several hundred years in the future.
Very enjoyable part of a very memorable series.

Amazing game

one thing that I can expect out of a game with the prefix "Xeno" is a great storyline. Xenosaga II picks up right off of Xenosaga I. The game immediately throws you into action. You will spend about 3 hours in the Memories of MOMO. I will warn you at first the games Mechanics are very confusing but after you catch on let's just say that you can do about 30,000 damage to an enemy by using boosts and combos. Xenosaga II has had som bad reveiws but don't buy them because this game is rockin, it may not be as good as number 1 and 3 but play it for the story and an RPG that you will remember for the rest of your life. The graphics are good but they changed the characters looks which made me mad but did not change what I thought of the game. The voice acting could have been better but I really don't care if a game has bad voice acting as most RPG games do. If you love Xenosaga you must get this game If you love Xenogears try out the Xenosaga Series.

A Good Sequel To Xenosaga I
Created: 08/11/09
There is good and bad with the changes made to the game mechanics of Xenosaga II compared to I. The techs are now automatic and ethers are learned via skill points. I miss the tech development, but the addition of the stocking system is a big improvement over the guarding option in episode I. The vioce acting is not as good, especially in the first chapter, though it improves. Other than those few qualms, it is a great game. The story line is very good, and a new character is added, Jin Uzuki, who is Shion's brother. He is a great character and a welcome addition to the game. There are also a lot more side quests, from which many unique and useful items can be attained. All in all, a very good, though not perfect, sequel.

Falls Short, and hits the rocky bottom
Created: 19/05/07
This game had so much going for it, a great pre-cursor, an awesome franchise, a ton of expensive advertisements and pre-orders. But sadly it falls short.
This game while having many similar elements to it's predecessor Xenosaga Episode 1, It still lacks a basic ingenuity of elements to make it worth playing. The fact that Monolith decided to remove Money and buying and selling from the game turned it from an RPG into an Action game with some RPG elements. Only problem with this is .. the game didn't have much action. It simply continues to the story for the next episode.
I wouldn't recommend this game unless you can find it for under 10 dollars.
