Yoshi's Cookie (Super Nintendo, 1993)

I love puzzle games. The pace of this game is just right for me. There are different ways to play it also. I usually play a grid of cookies, trying to erase them all before time is up. It is really fun to think several moves ahead in order to align all the cookies. This game is fast-paced but not too fast at all. I highly recommend this game.

Yoshi's Cookie is a much loved game from the early 1990's. A Tetris like puzzle game, Yoshi's Cookie becomes highly addictive with a puzzle, versus, and action mode. The game is simple enough to appeal to small children, and becomes highly complex to challenge older players. Yoshi's Cookie contains the much loved mario characters and has colorful, interesting visuals. A true classic, Yoshi's Cookie deserves to take its rightful place in the best NES games of all time.

After I got bored with playing the Game Boy version of Yoshi's Cookie, I thought that I would gamble with this version and it really pays off. The graphics and music are surprisingly better, as well as the animated mini-scenes between Rounds (Mario just can't seem to catch that runaway bouncing ball HA HA HA!!!). This is also the only version that has the Puzzle mode but as you go into the later levels it can get frustrating, but there are certain websites that do have walkthroughs for this game so it's quite helpful. The Vs. mode isn't too bad, especially since you can see what the other player is doing.

The Super Nintendo game, Yoshi's Cookie, did not work at all. Ist was a used game, but we were unable to make it work. The child who had been looking forward to this particular game was very disappointed.

I love Yoshi's Cookie for NES, but Yoshi's Cookie for SNES was not as good as the original. The original had beter graphics and bigger screens for two person play. Overall a good game though.
