Staying Young

It is a maintenance manual for your body. It does not rule out any aspect of health care. Eating right and exercise is stressed throughout the book. You do not have to be involved in the medical field to under stand what the good doctors are saying. The book is helful for the old and young alike. Worth reading.

This Book May Save Your Life

I have all four books by these two brilliant physicians. This one is geared toward those entering their senior years. Again, they describe how your body ages, processes food, and reacts to exercise in easy to understand but very specific terms. Humorous, too. With fun illustrations. This book will tell you exactly WHY all that fat you eat and lack of exercise is killing you. More important, it tells you HOW to start with small changes, and work up to a healthier lifestyle as you age. The main message from Drs. Oz and Roizen is this: It is never too late to start a healthy lifestyle. Don't use age as an excuse. Sixty-five isn't old! I highly recommend all their books, but if you have an older parent that could use some guidance, this is a great gift.

You Staying Young by Mehmet Oz, MD & Michael Roizen, MD

After reading the first two books from these two fine doctor's I wanted to know what the next step would be in my personal quest for good health. I wanted to keep and improve the best health I have today by identifying what could I do better tomorrow? The knowledge shared by both Dr's Oz and Roizen, viewing the person as a complete entity; body, mind and spirit are invaluable. In knowing that, we take responsibility of our own well being. It is a great combination of cutting edge medical and alternative/holistic advice from 2 doctor's who practice what they preach!
The only improvement for future books would I'd like to see could be a cleaner format style. I found the "handmade" style of drawings and illustrations sometimes distracting. A minor criticism in weighing the balance of good sound advice.

Great Reading from Knowledgeable Doctors

This is a great book for people who like medical information put in common terms. The doctors explain the body's process in a simplistic manner. This book packs a lot of information.
