When I had one of these, it worked well, even with Windows and Mac OSes. However, the shipping software I was using at the time (Stamps.com) did not work with Macs, and the other shipping software program that does work Macs, Endicia, did not have drivers to support this model. Having converted over to exclusively Mac use, it became surplus. Otherwise, despite whatever difference(s) there might be between this model and the one "without the stripes," it is a good value product for its purpose. For a Windows user, requiring a small desktop footprint and relatively low cost and minimal maintenance, it is a great little printer. Drivers and support are readily available online and from the manufacturer.

) Great price. Good condition. Printers are working well - fast, consistent, no ink. Be sure you have thermal labels. We're using them for registration. Seller communicated well too.

I was having trouble with getting the printer to work with my POS system. He worked with me on the phone for an hour trying to get it to work. Once we figured out that the printer model wasn't the right one (my fault), he sent the correct one out the next day and was able to get it to work within a couple of days. Great customer service and will use the me again.
Good printer, not worth the $ in the hype though.

Network setup is more difficult than I would have expected. The manufacturer's website is more difficult to navigate than necessary - had to register to download firmware.
After initial setup it does the job. I really do not think it is worth the hype though. I cannot imagine spending close to 500 new or 200 used.
Free labels from UPS are a big plus.
