The 'gold' standard in portrait lenses

I found this lens to be my absolute favorite for portrait photography because it is long enough to give a nice slimming effect for face and body and a beautiful out of focus background without the flattening of perspective that comes with a longer lens. The sharpness of this lens is especially good when you want to blow up your photos to about poster size. Usually this can only be done with a medium format camera, hence the larger negative, but with this lens it is not a problem. You get the smallest details precise and sharp. I just love my 135mm and cannot say anything bad about it at all. If you want quality go for the best!
