I'm so excited to introduce my newest baby polar bear! I've named him Inukshuk which means “likeness of a person ”. Inukshuk and I hope you love him as much as I do :o)

I really enjoyed creating and photographing this sweetheart. I love seeing the personality of each creation come to “life” and this is one of the reasons each of my creations are one of a kind.

Inukshuk is a one of a kind artist polar bear completely designed and handsewn (no machine sewing) by me, Melisa Nichols. He is very detailed and as such he is his own unique individual and can not be duplicated ~ a true one of a kind. There is no set pattern for this bear so I can not and will not duplicate him or attempt to create a very similar bear. Many, many hours went into this sweetie and I think the time that I spent on all his details was worth it :o)

Inukshuk is made from very soft and luxurious vintage recycled mink fur. He is 14” inches when stretched out.

Inukshuk's adorable face is full of detail. His face has been scissor sculpted, thread sculpted and hand shaded. He has soulful black glass eyes. He also has moveable eyelids - he can be posed awake or sleepy. He has a realistic epoxy clay nose. His mouth is thread sculpted and I gave him a little leather bottom lip. All this artistically detailed work means I will never be able to create another polar bear just like Inukshuk.

Inukshuk's paws were very time consuming... his paws are made from the mink fur which I thread sculpted and hand shaded. I've given him epoxy clay claws which I hand sculpted, hand carved, hand painted and sealed to give them extra realism.

Inukshuk is completely handsewn and filled with polyfil, pellets (in his tummy), and an extra portion of cuddles. All my recycled fur bears are fully lined. He is fully armatured for posing and is so fun to pose! Inukshuk also has a little tail.

Inukshuk will arrive with hang tags that include his birth date, a picture of him and a signed Certificate of Authenticity. He is a collectable bear made for display only - not suitable for children due to small parts.
