The undisputed single most important treasure in existence from the Atlanta Federal Reserve district is this unbelievable collection of the first five sheets printed of $5 Federal Reserve Bank Notes. If you are an individual who has thought you have seen everything in American Paper Money, perhaps this item will stop you cold in your tracks. Large size uncut sheets are unbelievably rare outside National Currency, and when seen are virtually always of $1 and $2 denomination. The only other large size $5 uncut sheet of federal non national currency that I am aware of is the $5 educational sheet that realized well over $1 million a few years ago. For someone who has everything, here is the ultimate prize. When sold, all the gold in Fort Knox will be insufficient to secure its equal. I took possession of these wonderful uncut sheets at the recent National Money Show at the Atlanta ANA convention. I placed them in a showcase front and center at my bourse table booth. There were more popping eyeballs than at a goiter convention. The most important currency collection ever offered in this venue.

Federal Reserve bank notes were United States currency banknotes issued by individual Federal Reserve Banks. They were based upon the earlier National Bank Notes. They differed from Federal Reserve Notes in that they could only be redeemed at the Federal Reserve bank that issued them. Federal Reserve notes could be redeemed at any Federal Reserve bank. As large size notes they were first issued in 1914 with a design that shared elements with the both the National Bank Notes, and the Federal Reserve Notes of the time, but as small size notes they were issued only as an emergency issue in 1933 using the same paper stock used for National Bank Notes. This emergency issue was prompted by the public hoarding of cash because of the many bank failures happening at the time. This also limited the ability of the National Banks to issue notes of their own. They were phased out within 2 years, but served their purpose dutifully. As small size notes, they have brown seals and serial numbers, the same as National Bank Notes of the era.

If you cannot leave us 5 star DSR feedback after our transaction is complete, please contact us prior to leaving feedback so that I may rectify any complaint. Our shipping is $8. as we ship priority to US addresses. We do occasionally offer free shipping on fixed price items. We exclusively use registered mail internationally at $18. No exceptions at this time except we ship express both USPS and FedEx upon request both domestically and internationally at actual cost. We allow unlimited combined shipping, for a single shipping fee at no extra charge for up to 2 weeks. If you purchase multiple items, please ask us for an invoice reflecting combined shipping prior to paying. We usually ship next day, unless we get overwhelmed with orders such as Mondays, after holidays, when we cannot immediately locate the item, are away at a trade show, or on higher value items that we keep in our bank vaults. While I believe my asking prices are reflective of the current market, it is my desire to place notes with those who will most appreciate them. Feel free to make any counter-offer through the eBay system if you would like to purchase our item. We do set automatic reject usually at around the price I am a buyer at, but will usually consider any offer we receive over that number. What you see is what you get. We do not use stock photo's except occasionally in the stock certificate category. We cheerfully accept returns for up to two weeks, no questions asked. Due to our business schedule and family obligations we are not always instantly accessible, but we almost always respond to questions within 24 hours. If the auction title does not match the face scan, or you see exact duplication of listings, any other obvious or potential errors please tell us, and allow us to correctly edit or relist before bidding. If you bid in error, you may retract your bid. Those who repeatedly retract bids, will be warned, then blocked, as we want our other bidders to feel secure that we are not attempting to ascertain their high bids, and that are auctions are fair, and transparent. We believe in customer service, fair play, and we aim to please. In very rare cases, we fail to delist fixed price/best offer listings after we've sold them through other venues. In these rare instances we refund immediately upon the realization that it occurred. We solicit want lists. I am a collector myself and understand and appreciate other collectors. We use factory settings on our scanners, and cameras, the item you receive will almost always usually look far better than the internet scan. I have long experience in numismatics, and in depth knowledge about the items, people, grading, and inner workings of the rare coin and currency business. I aim to be both informed and informative, and I share non proprietary information freely. I am a strong enthusiastic competitive buyer of collections, hoards, accumulations, & entire dealer inventories. Matchmaking great coins & currency with great collectors is our first business goal. Making collecting fun for our clients & ourselves is our second business goal. Creating new collectors is our third goal. We hope our enthusiasm shines through each and every listing, transaction, and interaction. Thanks for your interest!
