#197 Bob Cain Autog. 1979 Diamond Greats Browns w/COA

Bold ink pen signature of St. Louis Browns star Bob Cain #197 on a 1979 Diamond Greats card. DIED IN 1997.

Card and autograph are in NEAR MINT condition with sharp corners and no creases. Back of card is blank and also in NEAR MINT condition. Card measures 2 1/2" X 3 1/2". The black or yellow border is not part of the card. It is there so you can see the sharp corners and edges.

This set was a follow up set to the 1978 Grand Slam set.

WHEN THE 1979 DIAMOND GREATS SET WAS IN PRODUCTION, ALL 400 OF THE EX-PLAYERS IN THE SET WERE ALIVE. TODAY, OVER 325 OF THE PLAYERS IN THE SET ARE DECEASED. THERE WERE ONLY 1,000 SETS OF THESE CARDS EVER PRINTED.

Comes with my personal Certificate of Authenticity. I will buy back any item that is not an original authentic autograph. I have been in the Sports Memorabilia business since 1972 and I acquired 99% of the 1979 Diamond Greats autographs myself, between 1979 and the mid 80's.
