A classic Peter Brett design, and a fine example of British naval architecture, the R41 is the largest Rival ever built. After owning Rivals for 17 years, I bought this boat in 2001 and brought her to Annapolis for a refit. She is in fairly good shape for a 34 year old blue water sailboat... A lot of new rigging and gear, good sail invetory, strong and reliable Yanmar engine, good fuel and water tankage, fridge, 6 new sealed batteries... Good documentation of systems and equipment. She has been well cared for by a skilled and knowlegable owner.
I am downsizing and have bought another boat already, so now the "Cariad" must be sold! I have over $100,000 invested in the refit as described below.
I am looking for serious buyers who know what they want, and are willing to come see her here in Maryland. If it's before Thanksgiving, we can take her for a sail or seatrial.
I will arrange to ship or deliver the boat anywhere in the world.
