This idea started a while back over a drink with a friend. We were both buying and selling collectibles and other items here on Ebay at the time, and noticed quite a few "oddball" items showing up in the listings. We got to talking about some of the more random items we had seen and kicked around the idea of seeing how many rubber bands or bottle caps we could sell one at a time. We had a good laugh at the idea, but never did start listing single rubber bands for sale. After all, listing rubber bands one a time would've taken a LOT of time and effort, and we were lazy college students.

Here it is a few years later, and I've decided to dust off that old idea and see if I can set a record by selling a MILLION random items, one at a time, for a dollar each. You could receive anything from an envelope full of handy items like sticky notes or recipe cards, or totally useless things like random old car keys or old pages from my 2011 desk calendar. Old photographs, instruction manuals, newspaper cartoon clippings... you'll never know until you open each envelope what wonders await within!

This is just for fun! Heck, at a dollar for each random item, I'm not really going to be making any money here after the Ebay and PayPal fees. Isn't it worth a buck to see what kind of strange and random item you might get? While you're at it, why not buy multiple random items? You'll save on shipping, and help me set a record that much faster!

Each randomly-selected item will arrive accompanied by a thank you letter, individually numbered and signed by hand. In accordance with Ebay and the Postal Service's policies, I will NOT ship any dangerous, hazardous, illegal, disgusting, or otherwise unsaleable items. I also promise not to mail out any envelopes full of loose confetti or craft glitter!

So far I've sent items to many locations in Canada and the US, and even as far away as Australia!
