405-G-2 Extended Glass Lens for Aixiz Laser Module 405nm 445nm

Listing if for one single element 400-600nm AR coated 405-G-2 glass lens in an Aixiz compatible threaded M9x0.5mm custom machined brass barrel with focus adapter. This lens has been tested to give about around a 30% increase over the Aixiz three element glass lens with 405nm, 445nm and they have recently been found to work very well with 635/638nm diodes as well. This is a necessary lens if trying to build a 2W laser with a 445 diode.

I also offer this lens in an extended barrel. The longer barrel can make it easier to focus the lens while the laser is on reducing the chance of burning your fingers.;)

Some sellers here are offer this lens in just a standard three element housing because it is dirt cheap but it was not designed to fit this lens. In a three element barrel the lens can be cracked/damaged by the retaining nut if tightened too tight or will come loose all the time and it can not be centered correctly causing a crooked beam as the seat used is not the same shape as the lens. Also you can run into focusing issues or not be able to use a spring to keep it tight as it sits way to far back in the housing so the lens needs to be screwed in almost to the point of bottoming out in the module/heatsink. These barrels are custom made to fit this specific lens. The brass also does not shift due to heating if you are using it in a projector/labby where the focus needs to be perfectly fixed.
