  • The Analog Man does fine in the digital world! 5 stars is a fair rating.

It's been 20 years since Joe Walsh released a solo album, and Analog Man was worth the wait. He hasn't lost a step as far as his wit, humor, and guitar are concerned. There are a few places you can hear the old James Gang shine through, a couple where you realize "Oh yeah. He DID play with the Eagles for a bit, didn't he." I actually picked up a spot or two where he sounded a bit like Alice Cooper. Not vocally. Musically and lyrically he did. The good thing about Joe Walsh is that no matter what solo album you buy, you're going to get Joe Walsh - trust me; that's a very good thing.

  • Capturing the life and times of Joe Walsh, a Rock & Roll Icon!

I was very happy to get my copy of this album as I have been a fan of Joe Walsh and his music. I was impressed with an interview he did some time back where he talked about his personal life, the things he'd done and his being an Analog Man in a digital world. A digital world where recordings are done without most of the artists not even in attendance! Where every mistake is corrected and made perfect, which is not true creation of music! I found myself identifying with him on many of his songs, especially Wrecking Ball, I'm just lucky and Analog Man especially! His leads are superb, the music has a great beat, very meaningfull lyrics and a very real message to those of us who grew up in the 70's! The sound quality is superb and I consider this to be one of his best albums! ...

  • I was impressed.

First meaty one in a while. He sounds like he has stayed clean and his music reflects it. One of the eagles in my opinion who wasn't given enough credit. The music is bold, introspective, and creative. You can hear his soul seeping through the music. I felt transcended. He picks you up and takes you to somewhere only he can take you. Jeff Lynne and Ringo Starr being on the as well just made this cd as close to a perfect cd as you can get. The title track, Analog Man, is one of my favorites. I'm a big vinyl fan and feel detached from the digital world. Would love to get this on vinyl. It is definitely the way to listen to Joe. So go buy this!

  • Highly recommend Joe Walsh's Analog Man!

What can you say about Joe Walsh other than the man is a guitar god! His playing has stayed great through the years. His new songs that he wrote, especially "Lucky that Way", tell a story and are great! His voice is definitely distinctive. He has fun with his music, doesn't take himself too seriously, and we benefit from it. Highly recommend this CD!
