Great Movie, poor DVD quality
The DVD doesn’t play in some DVD player and on numerous occasion the dvd just freezes. I’ve had to buy two copies in as many years. The film is amazing but it’s very frustrating viewing this when it keeps freezing in many different places!

American Embassy CREW escape Tehran ~ excellent plot and movie 5 STARS
PLOT: American Embassy people escape with the help of the Canadians and a covert CIA planner~ excellent. 1979~ Iran and the country is in total unrest and very Un-American demonstrations occurring daily at the American Embassy when suddenly the crowds get out of control. 6 American Embassy Workers escape via a door to the street and end up "hiding" out at the Canadian Embassy. The CIA has plans to remove them but most plans has little plan of success but CIA covert planner Mendez (Ben Affleck) plans the Ultimate high risk escape, using a FICTIOUS movie crew and plenty of photos he goes into Iran to "remove" the 6 under cover as the "fake movie crew" ....and the movie is named "ARGO" a Star WAR rip off ......so stupid it might work. This is ... This is excellent as we see the STRESS of hiding for several months and then the SUDDEN risk of being killed or tortured if discovered. The plot is excellent and based on a real life event called the CANADIAN CAPER....John Goodman and Alan Arkin are the American leg of the movie caper who even create a fake office and backing for the movie to give it "credibility". Arkin is very good and always delivers the goods in any movie. This script based on an actual CIA event.....was declassified in 1997. The script and editing and movie all Won OSCARS. Affleck directed the movie. This starts slow and we feel the terror and craziness of the time. Let alone the Crazy hair cuts moustaches and ever popular "tacky" aviator glasses ....5 STARS all the way. you stay glued to the very end.
