In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of The Band's sophomore album, the band releases this version featuring a new stereo mix of the album by Bob Clearmountain, the previously unreleased complete Live At Woodstock performance from 1969, and 13 bonus tracks including six previously unreleased outtakes and alternate versions.

    Smart Remaster CD

    Excellent digital remaster! Great travel disc for auto. Avoid the LP Box Set, and grab this double CD, with out takes, and complete Woodstock performance.

    A Winner

    In terms of redbook playback, I've found MoFo hybrid sacd's fairly inconsistent. Some display minimal improvement compared to their generic redbook counterparts; some are noticeably better if not dramatically so and a very few actually wow me. This belongs in the latter category. Resolution is markedly improved-- I can actually hear all of the guitar parts for the first time! This is expensive but well worth the cost.
