Great Product.
I used Frog Lube for all my firearms for a few years and still have a couple that I do. I tried Ballistoll and found it to be easy, and effective and leaves a waxy slick feel to metal parts. Cleans and lubes great. I bought 2 more cans but still have not finished my 1st. It can be used for many other things also. Very versatile. Get 1 can and see for yourself.

Awful Odor.
I purchased this product to clean my and my wife's two 9mm pistols. The cleaning ability I can not comment on since I never used the product. After receiving Ballistol I opened the can and stopped at that point. I placed one drop on a paper towel sheet and closed the can. Approximately 3 hours later I returned to my basement to learn that the towel still had the strong odor emanating from it. Ok, the final test was to call my lovely wife to the basement and ask her for her opinion. When she started down the stairs she stopped and exclaimed, "What is that smell?" Before I could answer she said, "You will not use that on my gun!" Long story short I got rid on the Ballistol.I purchased this product to clean my and my wife's two 9mm pistols. Works great...but STINKS!
Ballistol has been a proven lubricant and protector for over a hundred years but it smells so bad that you might want to use it outdoors. It can be used on leather and other materials but would you really want to have your stuff stink? I like it for certain firearms and other uses plus a little goes a long way, just know what you are getting.

Excellent gun cleaner/lubricant
This is great solvent for cleaning fouled gun barrels and all gun surfaces. It works as well as any product I've ever used. I also use it on leather goods such as knife sheaths. Its really a great product. My only problem with it is the really bad odor is has. It is really objectionable and I almost feel sick if I use it in an enclosed space. I cannot use it in the house for that reason. I only use it in my shop because I have better ventilation there and it does't stink up the whole house. The manual pump and 16 oz. can is excellent and very cost effective. No waste due to loss of pressure before product is used up. 5 Stars if the smell was more neutral, but as it is, only 4 stars. A must for firearms enthuiest.
Saw this stuff on the Hickock45 Youtube channel so I thought I would give it a try. It's a great cleaner and even better it's also a lubricant. If you clean your firearms with Ballistol you really don't have to use gun oil on any parts that require lubricant. Does a fantastic job. Beware of the smell. It's not terrible but I would recommend that this product be used in a ventilated area. Clean and lube, all in one.
