AMBER, Gold or YELLOW lenses AVAILABLE---Best for adverse weather conditions by reducing glare and increasing depth of field. GREAT for cars with HID (High Intensity Discharge) or HID look alike bulbs. One of the problems with HID or blue colored light is you lose depth of field.

BOROSILICATE GLASS--- Glass utilized in all CATZ lenses. Boron and Silicon are mixed with clear glass to form a lens which is hard and therefore more resistant to cracks, chips, and scratches. Since borosilicate glass has no tempered coating, it dissipates heat more efficiently giving you a longer lasting bulb.

COOLING FINS---Cooling fins are a built in part of the design of most all CATZ lights as one of the many ways to dissipate heat. Keeping the bulb cool is the key to the longest bulb life possible.

DRIVING LIGHT BEAM--- Light beam which is long and narrow so as to light the road a far distance off. Best suited for driving in clear weather. Provides a beam which is wider but not quite as far reaching as our "Spot Beam". Driving beams enhance your regular headlights. (See also: Driving Light Beam, Fog Light Beam, and Spotlight Beam.)

MULTI-SURFACE REFLECTOR--- Computer designed reflector which focuses over 1700 points of light reflection per square inch into the area where it is needed. This technology eliminates the need for a fluted lens, as the light is aimed by the reflector, rather than the lens. Elimination of a fluted lens helps to prevent light from being lost as stray light or "scatter". The result is 70% more luminous efficiency than a conventional parabolic reflector lamp with a fluted lens. Multi-Surface Reflector technology is used by the XSL, XLO, MSR, MSP, MSX and MSC lamps.

SEALED DICHROIC BULBS--- Halogen bulb, Borosilicate lens and Multi-Surface reflector are bonded together as an air-tight sealed unit. Doesn't allow moisture or condensation to build up inside the lens/reflector which helps to prevent bulb blow out. Sealed Dichroic bulb units feature Multi-Surface Reflector technology (see "Multi-Surface Reflector"). Sealed Dichroic Bulb design also lends a "modular" quality as Gold Iridium coated bulb units can easily be exchanged for clear units and vice-versa. This gives the customer the option of changing the look and performance characteristics of his CATZ lamp set up without having to buy complete new lamps. Sealed Dichroic bulbs are utilized in the XSL, XLD and XLO lamps.

VACUUM VAPORIZED CHROME REFLECTORS---The Chrome is super clear and also includes a electro statically applied heat resistant silicone coating to reduce moisture build up, rust, moisture build up and browning. The main benefit is the clarity of the chrome giving you the most light output possible.
