WHO I AM AND MY GUARANTEE:

I am a stay at home Mom of two wonderful boys who loves to design these shirts.  I use professional transfer paper and a professional heat press (I do not use a household iron).  I love designing these shirts and do hope you'll enjoy them as well.  If for some reason I have made an error on your shirt, please let me know and I will do everything in my power to correct it. 

SHIPPING:

Shipping times may vary, since I am the mother of a 4 year old autistic boy as well as his younger 1 year old brother, but this is what I strive for:

• SAME DAY SHIPPING: If I receive payment, t-shirt size, color (if applicable), etc by 9:00 am CST, your shipment will usually go in the USPS mail drop that day.
• NEXT DAY SHIPPING: If I received your payment and other information after 9 am CST, your item will ship the following business day.
• DELAYED SHIPMENTS: If some of your information (such as desired size, color, or design) is missing, I will ship your item(s) as soon as possible after I receive the necessary information.  I will make every effort to contact you through ebay messages and eventually by phone.
• COMBINED SHIPPING: I am more than happy to combine shipping!  If you are bidding on more than one item, let me know.  I will send any items that are paid for, but I’m more than happy to let you wait until all your bidding is through before expecting payment. 
• UNFORSEEN DIFFICULTIES: We all know how kids can throw kinks into the best laid plans, don’t we?  I will make every attempt to communicate with you if there will be a delay in your shipment, and don't be afraid to ask questions!  Thanks so much for your understanding! 
• AND NOW!!!!!!  All my shipments will contain a tracking number, so that you can track your package!!!

WHY I DO WHAT I DO:

I absolutely love my son, but there are times when it's stressful to take him into public situations, mainly because when he throws tantrums, I feel the stares of everyone else in the room.  Or even when he's being a perfect angel, but showing off some of his autistic qualities, I feel the need to explain him.  Or sometimes even when an adult leans down and asks how old he is, and I know he can't answer, I sometimes felt like they thought he wasn't smart. 

I wanted a subtle, gentle way to let others know that not only was my son autistic, but that I was extremely proud of him.  I have an array of different t-shirts that I hope you will enjoy.  Don't see something you like?  Email me with your idea and I'll see if I can make it happen for you.

OUR STORY:

From the moment my oldest son Dillon was born, there was something just a little off.  When my mother asked me if he was babbling to me yet, I answered no without stopping to think of what that might mean.  By six months, he had a unique but consistent pose he did whenever he was excited, and I later discovered this was called stimming.  When he turned a year old and still hadn’t really started to speak, I started to get worried, despite everyone telling me that children, especially boys, develop at their own pace.  I joked with my mother that Dillon didn’t even seem to know his own name, and when he was a year and a half, I spoke with my pediatrician about getting him evaluated.  Three months later, he was in speech therapy; a month after that, he was also in occupational therapy.  When he was just under 2 and ½ years old, he was diagnosed as autistic. 

For me, even though the diagnosis wasn’t really a surprise, it was still devastating to hear.  Since then, I’ve really dedicated myself to helping my son develop communication and really learn to live in our world.  PECS is a great tool in helping him learn communication, and everything else I offer has in some way helped him.  I really want to help other families who have a special needs child, so I will always be here to answer questions or help you with anything I can.

All children are special, but those of us with special needs children really understand how precious those smiles and moments of understanding really are.  Good luck to you and your family as you embark on this wonderful and sometimes frustrating journey.  Every step, believe me, is worth it!
