An Early Edison Suitcase Home Cylinder Phonograph in very nice original condition.  The serial number on this machine is H27255.  The last patent date is 1898.  The lid has the original decal which is in very nice condition. The finish on the case is all original and in fine shape.  There are a few old nicks but nothing to detract. This phonograph has been all serviced and runs good.  Only one repair was done to the 19th tooth gear. It has a very nice bedplate with details present and the upper deck is extra clean. We replaced the the leather drive belt and mounting from the deck to the bedplate.  It has the original shaver and a Model "C" winged reproducer which has been all rebuilt. Will play only 2 minute cylinders. It sounds great, listen to the video!  The rubber feet have been replaced for added stability. Please note the very unique details of this early machine.  The bedplate mounts in the case on two pins, the raised area where the serial number is stamped, the nickel plated data tag, the early style endgate closure, the short slotted crank, the finger jointed case with square corners and the suitcase style latches. The latches close nice and tight.  This is a very nice example of this early style Edison machine.  The case measures 16 1/2" x 8" x 11 1/2".  Please note that the horn and record cylinder are not part of this auction but are used for demo purposes only. Shipping is by Fedex ground.
