Condition: NM

Photographer Publisher : Frank Gowen, 1878 to 1946 was born in the United Kingdom. He worked in Brandon, Manitoba, in 1907. By 1916 he was in partnership as Gowen & Stevens in Vancouver then incorporated under the name Gowen Sutton Co. Ltd.  As a publisher of real photo and printed postcards of the Canadian West, they produce cards depicting large cities and captured many hard to reach wilderness views. Many of their cards were hand tinted in a simple manner striving for style rather than realism, which created cards in vastly differing quality. While the real photo cards were made in Canada their printed cards were made in England.

M-Mint perfect. NM-Near Mint-very light aging.  EX-very light wear no bends or creases. VG-Corners may be just a bit rounded light cancel ink or light crease does not detract from appearance. G-Good. Corners may be noticeably blunt or rounded with noticeable bends or creases or heavy cancellations. PR-collectible for very rare cards or is a reference copy given presence of major flaws or damage.

Classement

M-Parfait. NM-Quasiment aucune imperfections. Ex- légèrement usés. VG-oblitération légère ou plis léger, en général, en très bonne condition. G- Plis et courbures, déchirures, taches visibles. PR-Un item qu'on considère collectionnable uniquement pour sa rareté. Peut aussi être un item de référence. Présence de dommages majeurs.
