Ethiopia Imports provides precious minerals and gem stones from Ethiopia. We specialize in Ethiopian Wello opals, which were discovered in 2007 in Wello, Ethiopia.

Since then, Wello opals have been captivating the gem world. Unlike earlier finds, these opals are diverse in color, type, and fire. The most common finds are crystal opals of various color range; from clear crystal to translucent, with shades of white, yellow, orange, brown,red, green, blue, purple, gray and black. The fire patterns are also diverse: pin fire, harlequin fire, sheets of fire in layers, linear fire patterns, and many more. Wello opals are quickly rising to the top of the list for most precious gems due to their beauty, depth, fire, diversity, and ease to work with.
 
We have been working with Wello Opals since their discovery. Our company provides the finest Wello opals through our dedicated workshop and distribution centers in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and Los Angeles, California. We have acquired a solid reputation for supplying gem cutters and jewelers with quality rough and cut opals world wide. All of our opals are shown dry and 100% natural.
