Gustafsberg Majolica grapevine jardiniere and stand

Victorian, circa 1880

DESCRIPTION

Gustafsberg Majolica jardinière and stand which features branch handles with grape leaves, grapes and vines on a cobalt blue background. Colouration: cobalt blue, turquoise, brown, are predominant. The piece bears maker's marks for the Gustafsberg pottery. Book reference not found.

CONDITION

Jardiniere: Very good. No restoration. Staining from use. Light scratches from use. KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the cobalt blue. Stand: Very good. No restoration. Some wear to the foot rim and interior. KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing.
