They are made from a secret 100% rubber formula, which is strong and durable. They distinguish themselves from other flip-flops which use EVA and PVC. With its secret rubber formula, the Havaianas offer extreme comfort, reliable durability and the ability to retain its original shape.

The first pair of Havaianas was born in 1962. They were inspired by the Zori, a typical Japanese sandal made from fabric straps and rice straw soles. It is for this reason that all the foot beds of the Havaianas have a textured rice pattern, one of its unmistakable features.
