A: I have inserted a brand new 16 GB class 10 SD card, formatted it and tested the camera. There seems to be a problem with the video. The created AVI files play audio only; there is no video – the screen is just gray.
Q:
The problem was caused by this special AVI video format, which was not properly recognized on Windows Vista.The videos are played correctly on computers running Windows 7 (with Windows Media Player v. 12) but do not work on Vista (with WMP v.11). It seems there are third-party codesc for WMP v.11 for this type of H.264 AVI files;
I have downloaded VLC Media Player (a free open-source player) on may Vista computers. While Windows Media Player plays video files from the camera incorrectly, VLC Media Player works great on Vista.
