You are bidding on this picture that was taken from a HARPER'S WEEKLY periodical. This is a picture of "COMMODORE SCHLEY ON THE BRIDGE OF THE FLAG-SHIP BROOKLYN -- DRAWN BY T DE THULSTRUP. It measures about 16" x 11 1/4". It is black and white and on shiney paper. The back of the picture has part of an article from HARPERS PICTORIAL HISTORY OF THE WAR WITH SPAIN. I dont' know what date this is from, but I know that it is old. This picture is part of a group of pictures by different artists, that my father in law bought back in the 1960's with WW2 ephemera and pictures.
A must for any Military Memorabilia collector! As you can see from the picture provided there are some rough edges especially on the bottom this was removed from a Harper's Weekly Periodical. There are some tears along the edges and some corner creases, but could be hidden if matted and framed. I will be listing more of these pictures in the future if there is interest.
