Why do you
need this? (Home Theater)
You have your Home Theater and Life is good, Then
you start adding more HD sources and/or Display devices, now you have a
pile (or will) of spaghetti wiring and limited ways to switch from
source to source to destination. HDTV can be a real challenge when
growing a Large Home Theater and/or Whole House System. A New
Professional Matrix Switcher will set you back thousands and this one I
am offering costs over $6000 and is still
in production!
If you have a Home Theater and two or more HDTV
sources, a Projector and a Preview Monitor, along with a everyday
TV, you need this switcher! Perhaps you would like to add a
preview (or cue) monitor. As your system grows all you have to do
is plug in new components, no crazy wiring schemes to get you by each
time you add something (let alone explaining to your other half how to
operate things!). Only a matrix switcher can allow you easy
connections of all your equipment without special patching. This
unit also features Digital AND Analog Audio, why do you need
both? Many older (and some newer) HDTV's do not have Digital Audio
inputs, unless you set up a separate Digital ready receiver (sound
around) in each zone most likely you will need analog audio to make your
installation seamless. Digital to analog adapters DO NOT WORK WELL
and many do not decode Dolby so running the actual analog audio is still
the most reliable method. This is a professional unit that uses
BNC Video jacks and Phoenix Audio Connectors we do offer BNC to RCA adapters and Audio pig tails which you can read more about below.
Why do you
need this? (Computer Rack)
This matrix will allow you to connect up to 12
computers and up to 8 monitors, then you can switch ANY computer to ANY
monitor, this includes any number of the 4 monitors to 1 computer.
Examples would be 1 computer to all four monitors, 2 computers to 2
monitors each, 1 computer to 1 monitor + 2nd computer to 3 monitors.
ANY COMBINATION is allowable, get the idea? Great for
entertainment displays, stock ticker boards, gaming systems, or just
redundancy. This is much better then a standard KVM which
only switches one monitor. Use this in conjunction of a KVM for
keyboard/mouse switching and even further extend your system. This
is a 300mhz system which will allow you to use 1200x1600 or even higher

Use with
Computers and HDTV at the same time!
While this Switcher will NOT convert signals you can dedicate
some of the channels for Computer (VGA) monitors and some of the
channels for HDTV (Component Video). Basically you will be using
it as two smaller switchers for example use 4 inputs and 2 outputs for
Computers and Computer Monitors and the remaining 8 inputs and 6 outputs
for HDTV. You CANNOT Switch HDTV Sources to Computer Monitors and
visa-versa however you CAN add a converter to allow this if
needed, contact me for more info on this.
What Exactly
is it?
This is a TRUE 12x8 Matrix Switcher/Router
which means that you can connect 12 HD component or VGA Sources and 8
HD/VGA Destinations (Projectors, Displays, Recorders, etc). Via the magic in the box ANY SOURCE can be electronically
switched to ANY DESTINATION without any manual wiring or
patching. You may have
seen these on eBay before and there may be some up for bid right now BUT
several things that make ours special. First off, see our feedback- We don't leave

engineers and technicians on staff that have refurbished and re- certified every aspect of these units
to 100%
perfect, this includes rebuilding fans and power supplies allowing us to provide

Controlling your system
If you have an upper-ended control system like AMX, Control4 or Creston just plug this unit into an RS232 port and smile, for the rest of us there are several lo-cost ways to control this switcher. First you can use the built in front panel controls (a $800 value alone) or If you like using an IR remote control, then home controllers like
"ADI OCELOT" and "HomeVision" both can receive IR and send the required RS232 signals to the switcher as well as send additional IR signals to your other equipment to create complete macros such as "system-on" and "system-off". Add-on control box's can be as simple as
"IR to RS232" or Higher end which support "IF-THEN" type programming to keep your whole system and/or house in check. X10 is also standard in both of the suggested controllers Xantech also maks IR controllers. (CONTROLLER NOT INCLUDED).
