 Absorbothane Motor vibration damping jacket

This damping jacket is designed to fit turntable motors, the jacket is made of Absorbothane 

Absorbothane Isolation material is a unique thermoset, polyether based polyurethane, the material is visco-elastic meaning it has the properties of both viscous and elastic material. the material exhibits superior damping coefficient to most polymer rubber, foam, or fluids.

Absorbothane isolation material is perfect for Hi Fi and Pro audio as it exhibits excellent shock absorption, vibration damping, vibration isolation making it a first class acoustic absorber and damper.

The Jacket simply slips over the motor no need to remove the motor to fit.

The jacket absorbs much of the vibrational energy produced by the motor and dissipates the energy stopping the vibration from resonating through the turntable plinth and into the signal path.

The effect is a clearer sound with less distortion. The Motor damping jacket fits motors fitted to most Rega and Linn turntables as well as turntables made by Kuzma and many others, it fits many 50mm diameter Premotec, Airpax and Phillips motors.
