The face of the panel isn't 90 degree with the rails making the face tilt back at the top. You have to insert the thumb drive in at a slight downward angle. The face is smaller than the opening making about a 1/16 inch gap all around. The old panel was flush with the front and covered the entire area around it. But it works. You get what you pay for.

    Metal Panel With Good Cables

    Made of metal and is shiny black so you might have to paint the front to look perfect. I left mine and it looks fine. Once mounted in the adapter bracket it is solid and secure. Cables and connectors look well made and work perfect. I like to have some USB's on the front panel for my hobby work.

    Low cost upgrade of old computer case to front panel USB-3 connectivity

    Fits the 3.5" floppy drive bay in my older reclaimed desktop case perfectly. Dual USB-3 cables appear to be of good quality and fit the USB-3 female connector on my new MSI motherboard perfectly. Both of the provided ports were fully functional with a USB flash drive. I assume that the ports support the full speed of the USB-3 interface, but I had not way to measure that.

    Nice port

    Pictures don’t really do this justice, build quality and materials are surprisingly good fit and finish we’re better then expected. USB 3.0 ports keep up with my Oculus no problem. For the money you really can’t beat it

    Perfect for Cases without Front USB 3.0

    Just what I needed for most of my cases do not have usb 3.0 on the front. Only the newest cases have usb 3.0 on the front or top. All my motherboards have usb 3.0 at the rear.

    I used regular hp drive bay device screws to install because the ones supplied are not tall enough on the head to slide in the slots and lock. The device works well and is sturdy enough for usb devices to easily plug into.
