Do you offer personal viewings?
No, we do not offer personal viewings.
Payments are to be made within 7 days of the auction ending, or receiving an invoice. No exceptions. If you have multiple auctions you're bidding on, please wait for those auctions to end to be invoiced for correct combined shipping costs. To be able to process your order in a timely manner, all Payments are to be completed through PayPal, which is the fastest and the securest way to receive your payment. Any payments not received within 7 days will result in an un-paid case opened against you, no exceptions.
What if I don’t have a PayPal account?
Alternative payment methods are to be arranged by contacting us through the eBay messaging system. We will inform you when payment has been received. Orders will be processed within 24 hours of receiving payment.

How is my item shipped?
All items are shipped via USPS (United States Postal Service) first class mail or USPS international first class mail, unless otherwise stated within the listing, noted within the invoice or upon your request for a different carrier.
- If your item weighs less than 4oz, there will be no tracking number.
- If you prefer to have a tracking number, you have to contact us through the ebay messaging system and request to be billed for FLAT RATE ENVELOPE.
- If your item is ¾ inch thick, 4oz or more yes there will be a tracking number, and it will be updated in your order profile once shipping label has been processed.
What is International Flat Rate Mail, and can I request my items to be mailed that way?
Flat Rate Mail is a great way to save on postage, and combine items together for a flat rate price. International buyers will be responsible for any customs charges in their country. International Flat Rate does not come with a tracking number. A Customs tracking number is provided, but it’s not a guarantee to be scanned or updated upon its points of shipping from one destination to the other.
There are two methods of Flat Rate Mail:
Flat Rate Envelope - Worldwide $25/Canada $21.
Flat Rate Medium Box $62 - Worldwide/Canada $43 or Large Box Worldwide $81/Canada $56.
Yes, if you would prefer to use International Flat Rate Services, please contact us through the ebay message system and we will invoice you accordingly.
Will there be a tracking number with my mailing?
- There will be no tracking number on First Class Mail 4oz or less. If you would like to purchase USPS Registered Mail service there will additional be additional costs.
How much is Registered?
Registered Service is $13.65 PLUS postage (weight and size of mailing). This is the cheapest option to add tracking for first class mail. Delivery can take up to 90 days, and no guarantee delivery. There is no insurance, unless amount of insurance is requested and paid by the buyer at an additional cost.
Other tracking options:
Express Flat Rate for one price, more expensive for service (not available in all countries): with detailed point to point tracking updates, delivery times are faster for this service, (approximately 5-7 days, depending on the country), guaranteed delivery in most countries.
If there is a particular service you prefer, please use the ebay message system to request which service, and we can discuss whether that option will work, and be cost effective for you.
Shipping item/s over $50 in value must have “USPS (United States Postal Service) tracking".
Registered Mail service for $13.65+ postage (weight and size of mailing), which will be invoiced to you upon wining auctions.
You can opt not to purchase Registered Service. There will be NO tracking if you do, and you will be at risk, for non receipt, if the item is not received. We can no longer take the risk, when we clearly sent the item.
Paid for the the items before you were invoiced for the service:
If you pay/paid for your item/s before you’re invoiced, you will receive a message, plus a Paypal invoice requesting the difference in the postage costs. Your item will be marked ‘shipped’, held onto till the difference has been paid.
Not to delay the process of your item/s, we request that you communicate with us right away, informing which prefer, REGISTERED/NON REGISTERED. Please note, that Berkeley Stamps, Inc. can no longer be responsible for non-receipt of high value items.
For our buyers to be protected under the “ebay Buyer Protection Program”, we only ship to the address in your profile. It is the buyer’s responsibility to confirm correct shipping address upon checkout. If you would like your item sent to a different shipping address, it’s your responsibility to provide that information upon checkout within ebay.
Do not send an additional note within payment to request an alternative address; this will delay the process of your order. We will refund you, and request that you update the correct shipping address upon checking out a second time.
What’s taking so long? I haven’t received my item?
We kindly ask our buyers to allow up 30 days for delivery of an order. Some of our Domestic buyers have been experiencing longer delays than usual, due to the closures of sorting stations across the country. Mail had been redirected for sorting in some areas, causing the long and unusual delays.
When leaving feedback on shipping times, we ask kindly that you refrain from scoring us low. Please be aware that we have no control over the processing times once shipments have left our office. Arrival times vary greatly depending on the country, processing times of those countries, and is some countries weather. We can only track an item, if the shipment was sent with a tracking number.
Is an invoice included with my order?
Yes, we include an invoice with every order, unless our buyers request not to.
Customs taxes are the responsibility of the buyer. Not Berkeley Stamps, Inc.
I live in the San Francisco/Bay Area; do you offer viewings of your items listed within eBay or can I hand pick my order?
No. Unfortunately, we cannot offer viewings at this time, and it is not possible to hand pick your lots.
Can I combine my orders?
Yes, we can combine wining auctions into one shipment, please wait to be invoiced with the correct shipping costs.
How soon after making a payment do you process my order?
Orders paid over the weekend will be processed Monday, and mailed no later than Tuesdays by 4pm. Any auctions won within the week are processed daily, time permitting. All orders will be processed in the order that payment was received in our 'awaiting to be shipped'.
I’m not satisfied with my order, or I would like to return my item for a refund?
Berkeley Stamps, Inc. offers 100% satisfaction. We process over 200+ listings weekly. Due to the amount of listings, we do our best to describe our listings to the fullest. We inspect our lots, but at times it can be difficult to inspect every single stamp, sheet, and first day cover to detail. In lieu of inspection, we provide as many detailed photos for your viewing. If you receive an item that you’re not satisfied with, we will be happy to have the item returned to us within 14 days of receiving items as it was sent to you. Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, and refunds are processed upon inspecting and receiving the item. If you want to return the item, pleases contact us directly through the ebay message system. You don't need to use the ebay refunding system. We will be more than happy to receive your item in return, and here at Berkeley Stamps Inc., we go above and beyond to resolve any issue in a timely manner.
