Resurrected from the dead.
Mom gave me an Oserizer 14 speed blender when I first move away from home. That was 40 + years ago. This blender still has the original glass jar and has had its blade changed 3 times. I was just about to place it in the trash and call it dead. The coupling stud was warn down to a nub. no longer able to make contact with the glass jar blade gear. I was shopping for a replacement blender and saw this part for it. Mind you it was a little hard / tricky to remove the original coupling stud but once out this part when on easily. Granted still working after 40 + years of use and the sentimental value this Osterizer blender has was well worth the time and price to replace the Coupling stud. Wile I was at it I order a new set of blades.. Called Mom and told her this story. and said I Love ... Mom gave me an Oserizer 14 speed blender when I first move away from home. Fit my blender perfect
I thought I would need to buy a new blender when my Osterizer coupling broke off. I've had the blender for years - never had a problem other than for changing out the blades once. Fortunately, I found this replacement part and was able to easily take my old blender apart and fix it. Works like new. These old blenders are bullet proof compared to the new cheap ones. Would buy again.

The Right Part to Save My Old Blender from the Dumpster
Exactly as the others described here, this part took only a few minutes to install, it fits perfectly, and saved my favorite old blender from being tossed. Glad I bought the genuine Oster part (and not a cheap knock-off). Now my blender will last another 45 years?!

Vibration dampener
My vintage Osterizer blender had begun making a really loud noise when running at medium to high speed. These rubber couplers are designed to isolate and dampen noise. They do dry out over the years and need replacing.
