This dosimeter is unused from old stok. They are checked and in perfect working order.
The radiation dosimeter is used as a portable handheld device.
Dosimeter gives visible indications of elevated levels of radioactivity (ionizing gamma and beta rays) and has an audible clicker.
The dosimeter can be used for evaluation of the radiation level afield, indoors and for evaluation of contamination level of materials and products.
This dosimeter contains a Geiger Counter SBM-20 with sensitivity Co60 (cps/mR/hr): 60-75.
MAIN TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
The device estimates radiation environment in magnitude of ambient equivalent power of gamma radiation dose taking into account pollution of objects by bets sources.
The dosimeter measures a level of radiation (gamma and beta rays) in microroentgens/hour (μR/h).
CAUTION!
Do not disassemble the radiation dosimeter!
Do not use it with the cover removed!
Follow instructions carefully!

ABOUT WORK WITH DOSIMETER:
Description :
There is power switch and button on the back side.
The range button has two settings: “x1” for measuring values indicated on the meter (5-99 microroentgens) and “x10” for measuring values 10 times higher (5-999 microroentgens).
Time of measurement at “x1” range is 36+/-5 seconds.
Time of measurement at “x10” range is 360+/-50 seconds.
It is recommended to measure a level of radiation in a range "x10" for reduction of an error. Measurement in a a range "x10" is the average indication of 10 measurements in a a range "x1".
The power switch has 3 level :
“on” switches on the device;
“dump” zeroes out the accumulated reading before taking another measurement and before switching ranges
“off” switches off the device.
How to use the radiation dosimeter:
(1) Set the power switch off.
(2) Slide off the battery compartment cover and insert battery with the indicated polarity. Put the battery compartment cover back in place.
(3) Choose th range “x1” or “x10”.
(4) Turn the power switch on “dump”. The inscription " 00.0 " with blinking C appears on a screen at this time.
(5) Turn the power switch on. Dosimeter will begin the account of a level of radiation. Calculation will end in 36 seconds (at range “x1”) or 360 seconds (at range “x10”). The sign "C" will go out. The result will appear on the screen.
(6) Turn the power switch on “dump” for repeated measurement. Then turn the power switch on.
OPERATION AND STORAGE CONDITIONS:
The dosimeter is intended for use at temperatures from 263 to 313 °K (-10 to 40 °C, 14 to 104 °F), relative humidity up to 80%, normal atmospheric pressure (650-800 mm Hg). Keep the radiation dosimeter clean and protect it from impact, dampness, and harsh environments.
After storing or transporting the radiation dosimeter in cold conditions, give it 2 to 3 hours to reach working temperature. Remove the batteries if it is not going to be used. Check that the battery contacts are clean before installing batteries.
