GOT SEVERAL ITEMS FOR CONSIGNMENT RECENTLY FROM A COUPLE OF LOCAL COLLECTORS INCLUDING BOOKS, HISTORIC ARTIFACTS AND PREHISTORIC ARTIFACTS FROM WISCONSIN, INDIANA AND ILLINOIS. THIS POLISHED 3/4 SLANT GROOVE AXE WAS FOUND NEAR BRANDON IN FOND DU LAC COUNTY, WISCONSIN. THERE IS A NAME ON THE LABEL WHICH APPEARS TO READ "HENRY DAMIRAK" AND THE DATES 1916 TO 1970. THE AXE MEASURES 5 1/8" LONG BY 2 7/8" WIDE AND IS MADE OF A DARK BROWN HARDSTONE. THERE IS SOME VERY OLD DAMAGE TO ONE SIDE OF THE POLL AND GROOVE RIDGE. THIS ARTIFACT IS GUARANTEED TO BE GENUINE.
