    Slow at the start but worth the wait

    This series starts out a bit slow but it does pay off in the end.I loved all the different characters even though they are stereo typical for Anime.Each having their own Personalities,my favorite being Aisha the Cat Woman.I Love the story line,it has adventure with bit of Sci-Fi and comedy, just the way I like 'em,keeping you interested til the end.And by the time you get to the end of episode 9, you'll be wanting to get Outlaw Star Volume 2, to catch waht happens next.Its similair in style of Cowboy Bebop, so if you Liked Cowboy Bebop you'll enjoy Outlaw Star. I thought the Biligual feature is done well. The Subtitles were flawless and easy enough to read thru at a steady pace.And you'll hear alot of familiar voice actors in this series.Definitely a series to have.

    outlaw anime

    most anime when it first started was kind of cheesy, but that is not true with this series. in fact it is good. the series reminds me of star wars only animated. I found it interesting that this series made references to at least one American tv series. what is not to like. you have aliens, pirates, bounty hunters, and of course, lots of beautiful animated women.

    Outlaw Star - Vol. 1

    The first volume of the Outlaw Star television series is a great introduction to the overall plot that draws viewers into the world of Outlaw Star. The early episodes in volume 1 succeed in entertaining while developing a plot that intrigues the viewer. The animation and voice acting of this series also sets it apart from many of the anime programs that are released in the United States. The superb action and occasional comedy of the Outlaw Star series, two of its most attractive aspects, are well represented within the first volume dvd.

    a good get for anime fans

    Enjoyed this series as a kid, wanted to get in back my collection and even though this is vol 1 of 3 I had recently purchased 2 and 3 at a good price so getting the final piece at a good price made me happy. Item arrived on time and both disks worked. Money well spent.
