"THE ANNETTE FUNICELLO COLLECTION: The Personal Property of Annette Funicello"
Authorized and Authenticated by the Annette Funicello Research Fund for Neurological Diseases
Item: Annette's QVC contract (for her line of collectible bears); as received via FAX; and personally signed in black ballpoint pen and returned via FAX as well.
Includes Annette's release of her name, voice, and performance to QVC for the purposes of this telecast. Cover page references cross promotion; requiring signatures from Annette, Bob, Angie, and Marie. Dated September 15, 1992.
Provenance: discovered within Annette's own storage chest along with other items from the 1980's - 1990's (as pictured below; image for illustration only; not included with auction).
Condition: While signature is original and is very clear; the fax paper is wrinkled and continuing to fade over time. For archival purposes, the pages should be kept at a cool temperature to preserve the text (some of which has already begun to fade). The ink used for Annette's signature continues to be both sharp and clear... including the date, and her home address (the home would be lost to fire in 2011 and the family no longer owns that property).
Still, this is a remarkable document capturing Annette's popular appearances on the QVC cable television network... with her ORIGINAL signature / autograph.
Annette's final wish... was that her personal possessions be sold to her fans and friends in support of additional research into neurological diseases... with the hope that a cure can soon be found.
Includes signed Certificate of Authenticity on behalf of the Annette Funicello Research Fund.
Personally selected and authorized by Mr. Glen Holt for the exclusive benefit of the Annette Funicello Research Fund for Neurological Diseases. Glen and Annette were married on May 3, 1986 and together in 1993 they founded the Fund for the purpose of researching the cause, the treatment and the cure for Multiple Sclerosis and other neurological diseases. Glen faithfully cared for Annette until her passing on April 8, 2013. He continues to carry forward Annette's work now as the Chairman of the Board of Advisors for the Annette Funicello Research Fund.
