Seller Notes: “The Lionel Caboose No. 6017 is distinguished from the other cabooses that are numbered "6017" by ... “The Lionel Caboose No. 6017 is distinguished from the other cabooses that are numbered "6017" by the lack of the word "LINES" that was not printed on the sides. Produced only in 1956 on a Type 3 die, it was shinny unpainted MAROON colored plastic. The chassis has bar-end trucks with one magnetic coupler, and the body is according to experts always attached to it by screws. This caboose is not as common as the others that share its number. Note the underscored 6017 This unit came from a 627 Lehigh Valley center cab outfit 1543/700 in the special three-digit set box in 1956. Lionel totally broke with tradition and placed the contents un-boxed inside he set box. This was a non-boxed unit. excellent condition with poor lettering and minor pitting on coupler...”
