Radar slaloms are built off the same shape as their top of the line
competition ski, but as you go down in performance, the ski gets
incrementally wider so it has more surface area and is able to be
skied at slower speeds. This means that each different ski model has
the same sidecut, tunnel, and bevel shapes so they all share a
similar personality. This is a great feature for skiers who are
improving because as they advance their skills, they can move up to
the next ski in the Radar line and have an increase in performance,
but maintain a familiar feel. Radar skis at any performance level
are extremely user friendly to ski on, any skier can hop on even
their top of the line slalom and have fun with it.
Theory Slalom -
The Theory is Radar's 28-32mph slalom ski. It is a ski that's created for riding in open water, but at the same time, can still be used
through the slalom course. The ski itself comes from the same shape of
the Strada, but is .5" of an inch wider, which makes the designed dialed
in for the experienced free rider, and short rope wide rider
competitor. The Theory also operates as the perfect ski for the family
oriented lake enthusiast. Suggested max speed for this ski is up to 32
mph, making this the perfect ski for anyone that loves to ride out in
the open water, but still has that competitive edge.
The Theory is perfect for intermediate skiers who are improving quickly and starting to think about learning to run the course.
Theory slalom features:
*Many skis and boards we sell on eBay are closeouts, cosmetic blems, or factory
seconds, and therefor have some kind of minor cosmetic blemish that will
not at all affect the item's performance or usability in any way. Even first quality skis and boards could
possibly have very minor scratches or scuffs simply from being handled
in a retail environment. If you want to feel like your new ski or board has never been touched by human hands before yours, (in other words, you are expecting a cosmetically flawless, shrink wrapped ski/board) this particular item might not be what you're looking for. However, if you'd like to save a little money and can live with some cosmetic imperfection, this is a great deal for you. Sometimes the blemishes are immediately obvious, sometimes they take a little searching to find, if
you'd like more info on possible blemishes or imperfections on the particular item
you're interested in, please feel free to contact us. All new skis and boards do
still include a full factory warranty against manufacturing defects.
- .2" wider than RS-1 - Based on the RS-1
shape (predecessor to the new top of the line Strada), but .5"
wider for less drag and better performance at slower boat speeds.
- Suggested max speed 32 mph
- Aerocore - Polyurethane core material is nice and damp for a smooth ride through rougher water conditions
- Carbon Inside - strategically placed carbon in the layup to improve speed and acceleration
Radar has raised the bar on waterski bindings so
much that no other company is even in the same category! Using a
true lasted construction in which the boots are constructed around a
foot shaped mold (the same way shoes, ski and snowboard boots, and
every other kind of high end footwear are made) creates bindings that
are unbelievably comfortable and have amazing performance. The
Vector boots either mount on aluminum plates that are compatible with
any ski insert pattern and allow the skier to pivot the front and
rear binding a few degrees, or they come in a Feather Frame version
that have an integrated plate that is 1/3 lighter than regular plates
and get the skier 1/3 closer to the ski for a more precise feel
(Feather Frame bindings are only compatible with 2011 or newer Radar
skis). High performance bindings have always had to compromise on
comfort to meet performance needs, but that is a thing of the past,
Radar bindings are truly unbelievable, you have to see them and put
them on your feet to fully understand how great they are!
Rail Boot Features:
3D molded tongue - fits the shape of the foot and ankle right out of
the box, no pressure points.
construction - feels like putting on you favorite shoes
cuff and medium overall flex - super supportive, but a touch more
forgiving than the top of the line Strada Boots
lacing - 2 lacing zones let you dial in your fit and level of support
