One of the bearings did not fit, or I was replacing the wrong one. My reel had three bearings, but the kit only came with two, and of the two I was able to access, only one fit correctly. That being said, the one bearing made a big difference.

Both bearings are correct for the spool. A small bearing resides on the cap opposite to the handle, then a larger bearing on the actual spool shaft behind a pin. The cast control or tension knob bearing you are trying to replace is not an actual spool bearing, and serves no purpose during casting. Therefore, it is not included. Please make sure you know exactly what you are ordering before pressing the BIN button. Much appreciated.
