    Bad solenoids

    My previous experience with Caltric products has always been positive. But these solenoids are junk. I bought 2 for the same machine ( 1 for a spare). Installed 1 and after hitting the starter button the solenoid hung up “on”. Had to disconnect the cable while the starter is turning. Installed the second one - same thing. Threw these in the trash can. I won’t buy any more solenoids. My first bad experience with caltric.

    Defective and dangerous

    Purchased 3 and 2 were stuck in the engaged position and starter motor engaged by itself. Third one tested good, but stuck in engage position once the key was turned and starter motor ran continually. I had to cut wire to prevent damage.

    bought two from two different sellers. both were bad out of the box. one was replaced and it was bad. so 3 out of 3 were bad.

    Junk

    Same issue as others have mentioned: initially tested okay, but after first start, the solenoid is CLOSED permanently, and starter motor engages even with ignition off. THESE SHOULD NOT BE SOLD!!!!
