For Your Consideration is a Medium Sized, California Sycamore Burl Slab!

This is a very rare wood. Sycamore can be found in many places, but it rarely burls!

 

This slab was salvaged, and has some dry rot and cracking. However, I think these can be worked through. The wood has an amazing color, and is very much like Madrone Burl. I will be featuring more of this wood in my store.

The slab has been air drying for several years; it is dry!

 

Item Description

This slab is considered a high grade of burl.  It has a large amount of swirl, curl, and birdseye. This slab has been hand planed with a 6 " Makita power planer. Sanded to 60 Grit on one side, and is pre shaped, so shaping will not be needed. As with all burl woods there is some surface cracking and inclusions. Both side of this slab could be used, but one side has more serface area than the other. Winning bidder will pay all shipping!

Shipping & Handling Time

Fed Ex Shipments are sent by 10 am every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, USPS shipments are sent by 3pm. on the above mentioned days.

I will combine shipping, and do my best to get you a competitive shipping rate.  All medium and large shipments will be sent through FedEx. The others will be sent via USPS Priority mail. If item will fit into a USPS flat rate box, it will be indicated in the listing. The shipping information found in the shipping calculator is only an estimate, as it only represents UPS rates, and is based on estimated package size and approximate weight. Generally the exact shipping rate is cheaper than the calculator, however, to avoid overpayment and or underpayment of shipping, I require a 2 to 3 business day turn around for shipping on these slabs, as they are not pre packaged. If you request an invoice over the weekend or during a non shipping day I will not be able to get you an exact shipping rate until items are packaged, which may take up to 2 business days. Sorry for the inconvenience, however, this is the only way to protect our store from being accountable for shipping disputes.
