recipes are nothing special but a cool novelty for the sopranos collector!
there are many better italian cookbooks out there! i am a huge fan of the sopranos tv show so this was a must for my collection. but the recipes are generic recipes that can be found anywhere online. the little made up stories about the show in this book are a very cool novelty but the recipes are nothing special. i was hoping that each person from the show would share some old family recipes but that was not the case. do not expect to find directions on how to make your next italian feast in this book! check out henry hills wiseguy cookbook. it has some very good tips and old family recipes for real italian cuisine. there are many better italian cookbooks out there! i am a huge fan of the sopranos tv show so this was a must for my collection. but the recipes are generic recipes that can be found anywhere online. the little made up stories about the show in this book are a very cool novelty but the recipes are nothing special. i was hoping that each person from the show would share some old family recipes but that was not the case. do not expect to find directions on how to make your next italian feast in this book! check out henry hills wiseguy cookbook. it has some very good tips and old family recipes for real italian cuisine.

A Must Have 4 Soprano Fans & Those Who Love Good Food!
Like many of the other buyers out there, we are avid fans of the show. The food from the show always sounded and looked great. I have a cookbook collection consisting of several dozen different types of food, from French to Japanese to Italian and this is by far one of my favorites. The recipes are easy to follow and the generous number of pictures showing what the dish should look like makes it easy for even beginners. The Osso Bucco recipe is as good as we get downtown at a little Italian place we dine at. The Cannoli recipe could have included a substitute for the ricotta though, since good ricotta is so hard to find in most of the U.S. I would suggest the use of mascarpone instead since its texture is smoother and the cream filling can be made with less effort, while at the same ... The remainder of the recipe is from what I understand, from my Italian friends who are in the know about such matters, to be "authentic." It allows many of us to catch a glimpse of the true meaning of tradition and the value of family. I was able to purchase my copy at a very reasonable price with a reasonable shipping price. I plan to buy other copies for friends and family in order to prevent the unauthorized hijacking of my copy! I also plan to buy the book, Entertaining with Carmela Soprano. Buon Appetito!

Amazing book
Watching the series gave me such a need and want to be able to make the great foods displayed and eaten through the show. The book is in great condition and well taken care of. The shipping was extremely fast and I could not be happier 10/10 I would buy again.
